Menthol Monday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
TSD Iced Lime Shave Stick
Jayaruh #199 Synthetic
Unmentionable Razor and Blade
CWR
Mennen Skin Bracer

The TSD Iced Lime Shave Stick lathered well with the Jayaruh #199 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Unmentionable Razor and Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Mennen Skin Bracer After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

Did you create that brush???

I do make brushes but this one was done by Freddie Payne. The ferrule was badly cracked so he made the hammered brass one and added a copper accent as well. The handle is from a vintage Rubberset 200-4. I wouldn't do or have the modification done to a good brush but I feel it is a good way to save a damaged brush. I got 3 brushes from him. One ever ready with a new knot, this one and a wooden handled one that also had a cracked ferrule. The wood handled one got a hammered copper ferrule.
