Record or near record warm here. We tied at 82 the other day. That was set in 1924. Cooler weather first of the week though.

How cold?
Humid cold is just horrible. I spent part of the winter of '71 in Ft Benning GA when it was at or below freezing and that humid cold was horrible. I never experienced cold like that before. I'd rather have -20 and it's dry cold than 32 with humidity. A dry -20 is easy to dress for, humid cold is more difficult.
At 0700 it was 10* and not expected to warm up very much. It's overcast and the sun can't be seen.

Yeah, you folks aren't ready for that and your homes aren't built for it, nor should they be. I'd expect frozen pipes, yes?

Not from this little snap. When it gets cold and stays that way there are a lot of busted pipes . I can remember back home growing up crawling around under houses fixing them. The apartment I live in has not had any since I have been here

I need to laugh at that. If I don’t I’ll cry. We hit -38,4 already this winter. Need to be extra careful. If yer not, Nipples freeze off after 3 minutes outside.
