Fuzzy gotta new brush.... - Wchnu - 10-26-2020

Awhile back @9nein9 made me a couple of brush handles. I put a flat top badger in one of them and have been waiting to finish the last one. I finally got that done. The knot is a 70/30 Maggards knot on 26mm. I think this is the biggest brush I have had. It worked good on the vintage Williams. I did have to go back to the cake for my second pass. I guess I have to learn this big ole brush.

The handle on the 1912 was turned by Patrick also!

Amazing brush. How does the 30/70 maggard feel like ? Been eyeing one for a while for some 26mm artisan brush handles heading to me !

luv2shave The knot feels like a good badger knot. I can not really feel anything of the boar in it. I have not noticed that it did an better or worse job on any soap or cream I tried to use it on. The down size to me is the massive size. There is really no need in it being this large. I would recommend you getting one if you like a good badger with backbone at a good price.

I can still remember the night I sat and carved out the design for that handle and its twin brother. Of all my handles to date I'd have to say I'm proudest of those two.

It is a thing of beauty.

As you have every right to be. That carving is a thing of beauty. I'd be proud to have such an artful piece of shaving gear.
