I enjoyed that!
Using the second of the used NOS Unmentionable blades - both had 2 shaves on them.
Earlier in the week i had a really smooth shave with this combo and thought it was a bit of a fluke, today has confirmed that, for me at least, this razor really likes these vintage blades, i will need to run a blade from new next time out.
I really enjoy the Arran soaps products, great scents and great lather.

Stay safe and enjoy your day All

Happy Winter Soltice everyone. We made it. It's all down here from here. Long days coming. Get those Speedos ready.

I forgot to post my SOTD yesterday, and I wanted to post this for any fellow science/astronmy geeks!

Note: we don't move closer and farther away in summer and winter respectively, but due to Earth's axial tilt, the sun's rays strike us differently throughout our orbit around the sun, thus creating the seasons for those not near the equator!

Earth's orbit is elliptical. It's closest to the sun around January 2 and farthest from the sun around July 4.

True! Which befuddled my students because if we're closer, why is it colder?

I really do like this razor, efficient and comfortable. The next blade in this will be a sharper unmentionable to hopefully bare its teeth a little.
Everything else just helped the shave along, finishing with a couple of squirts of Copycats Just Neroli on the neck.

Thursday's Shave
[Image: zcws.jpg]

Cold Water Rinse
Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap
Jayaruh #395
Unmentionable Razor
Unmentionable Blade
CWR
Florida Water Cologne

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #395 Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Unmentionable Razor with an Unmentionable Stainless Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Florida Water Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
