RE: ER Streamline - mlb 549 - 03-21-2021 I'm looking for a first generation now, I have a second generation---I think the only difference is the size of the vents in the base plate. Just wondering if they shave any different due to some other minor difference. RE: ER Streamline - joelkerr - 03-27-2021 I love this thread! The Streamline is at the top of my wishlist. But if you search UK eBay for "Vintage 1930s 40s Bakelite Ever Ready Streamline Safety Razor Clipper Cream Set", you just might find something interesting. If you're in the EU, bear in mind that post Brexit, there a customs tax will be levied. On that may also be "interesting." RE: ER Streamline - joelkerr - 04-16-2022 I picked up this Streamline a few weeks ago, and have used it maybe about 6 times. I was hesitant to buy one for a long time because they can be quite expensive and I wasn't certain they would live up to the hype. But I,m very glad I bought one finally, and even though it cost more than the rest of my SEs put together, I don't regret it. It's a wonderful razor. It has a nice weight and balance, it feels solid in the hand. It's obviously well-built. And because the teeth of the comb are shorter than most SEs, it's easy to shave under the nose. It feels more aggressive than my other razors, but it also has way more feedback. As a result, I'm able to get super close and comfortable shaves with this razor. It lives up to its hype! Congrats on snagging it!! RE: ER Streamline - RobinK - 10-27-2024 Oops, I did it again. RE: ER Streamline - RobinK - 10-29-2024 So, a friend of mine from Texas has been on the lookout for vintage razors on my behalf. And then he sent me this: Well, it's NOS. How nice. RE: ER Streamline - RobinK - 04-27-2025 It's taken a while, not least because the poor razor spent a while in the greedy hands of German customs. But here it is. And it shaves as well as it looks. |
