What modification is required for the blade? Thanks for the explanation! I'm sure it's worth the trouble for such a nice looking razor!!! ![]() RE: SOTD - December 2021 - GAW9576 - 12-12-2021 (12-12-2021, 12:43 AM)Old Sarge Wrote:(12-11-2021, 10:47 PM)GAW9576 Wrote: Thank you. Absolutely. And since I average about 10 shaves per blade and have a few to rotate through I don't have to modify a blade very often. I think my favorite part of this razor is the little key. But it also does shave quite nicely too. RE: SOTD - December 2021 - Tony'schin - 12-12-2021 12/12/21 Pre - Shower Brush - Simpson Chubby 2 Soap - D. R. It's what I used together when Pete Patriot graciously shared a healthy sample of the soap with me and I'm delighted to have a tub of it now to enjoy whenever I want a luxurious shave. It's the M base but has firmed up nicely as it has cured. The Boti Boar knot on 1st use had some funk that I know will subside and just a few hairs lost. It held enough lather for a 3 pass mug shave and a 1 pass back of the neck shave. Not bad for a 20 mm boar on 1st use. I'm refreshed and ready for the day.......................after some coffee and a pumpkin chocolate chip muffin that is. Have a stupid fun day folks !! Two passes and touch ups with the 1902 Kampfe Brothers/Star Lather Catcher Razor with a Star Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... Salter (Indian Sandalwood), Face Lathered Post - Generic Reformed Alum Block, T.N. Dickinson’s, Nivea Deep A/S, Nivea Sensitive Balm It is with apologies that I forgot to take a photo with the elephant blade bank in place of the unmentionable! Everyone will just need to use their imagination today. A very smooth, two-pass shave with the Jayaruh birth year unmentionable. I just love this razor, particularly with this being my third DE shave in a row...I'm getting my technique on track. The Cyril R. Salter Indian Sandalwood cream is great, both in performance and in scent. I selected this scent as many reviews say it is the closest to being a correct sandalwood. The CRS creams have got to be one of the best Connaught Shaving values, at a little under $10 for 165g. RE: SOTD - December 2021 - mayer57619 - 12-13-2021 Great Sunday morning shave! |
