I think I still slightly prefer my MMOC, simply because it does a better job in the tough spot right under my nose. But the Damaskeene, though mild, gives a wonderful shave. I really like the feel of the handle and the weight of the razor, it feels very solid - much more solid than the MMOC. I haven't used my 1912 in a couple years so I can't remember very well how it feels, but I think the Damaskeene probably feels better. All in all, even though I paid maybe a bit too much for this razor, I'm very happy with the purchase.
