Today was another shave with the E2. Instead of 3 solid days of growth it was only about 36 hours, and I enjoyed the shave even more than the last one! This particular E2 is nicely efficient (DFS in 2-pass plus a spot-touchup), and I threw in an extra pass today (i.e, a 3rd pass....no cleanup or touchup needed) mostly because I was just enjoying the experience so much that I didn't want to stop shaving. An easy and ridiculously-comfortable shave with DFS+ results...and not a single weeper, or irritation or post-shave sensitivity. All the comfort and drama-free shaves of a Type G, but the increased efficiency that comes with a type E (although not quite to where my E3 is in terms of efficiency).
I also wanted to give a shout out to this soap. I like RazoRock soaps, but I rarely love them. They're a great value (IMO) for the scent and performance, but they don't typically blow me away with lather and performance. That said, the Blue Fougere came closer to exceeding the "good" status and got closer to the "great". The scent is absolutely perfect for me -- sort of a light baby powder'ish scent with a bit more complexity. I'm a fan of the baby powder type fragrances (sort of lightly floral), but if you're one of the many who isn't, this is probably not the soap for you. As to the performance, it had a nice balance between slickness (it was slick, but not overly slippery) and cushion/protection. It also didn't feel like it dried out my skin, but it's not a face nourisher either. It did wash off quickly and easily, and left a very light clean powdery scent behind.
So you know the razor (E2 with a Chick on its second shave), the soap (RR Blue Fougere, which is more like a croap), and the brush was a Yaqi 2-band badger in a "mysterious space" handle.
